Data Protection

Information on pupils, parents and guardians is held by the school to enable the teaching, registration and assessment of pupils as well as associated administrative duties. The information is stored and used as per the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 with Wolverhampton City Council defined as the Data Controller.

The school uses CCTV to monitor the premises both within and outside of the school day. The purpose of the cameras is solely for the protection of our children, staff and buildings. The caretaker and Head Teacher monitor the system, and videoed evidence may be passed onto the police if it is believed that a criminal act has taken place. This is usually only relevant to vandalism that may occur during the evenings and weekends. However, it would apply equally to intruders or those intent upon disrupting any aspect of the life of this school. The Governing Body has established a Data Protection Policy. For more information please contact school.
