Welcome to Year 1
Year 1 is a great place to learn. Your child has just completed their early years education and will now begin the National Curriculum years of Key Stage 1. At first, our days will very much mirror our early year's experience, gradually becoming aligned to the strategies and practice of the main school years. Your child will now have timetabled breaktimes, rather than this being part of the provision and will begin to study subjects in a more recognisable way, such as history and geography being separate subjects, not part of a theme based approach.
