Whole School Mass

On Monday, we gathered as a whole school for Mass, praying especially for all those beginning new chapters in their lives, particularly our wonderful Year 6 pupils as they prepare to move on to secondary school.

During his homily, Fr Craig reminded the children that, whatever lies ahead, Jesus is always in the boat with them. Whether life brings calm seas or stormy waters, they are never alone.

We thank Fr Craig and our parish community for the thoughtful gift of a 'Cross in My Pocket' for the Year 6 children, reinforcing the message from the gospel and the homily. The children also received an El Salvador Cross to remind them of St Oscar Romero and our school motto, "Aspire not to have more, but to be more," and a Learning Luggage notebook, reminding them that learning is a lifelong journey.

We are so incredibly proud of our Year 6 children and all they have achieved this year. As they begin the next stage of their journey, we pray they go forward with courage, kindness and faith, always knowing that Christ is with them every step of the way.
