World Mental Health Day

Oct 2
1 min read

World Mental Health Day takes place on Saturday 10th October, and we will be marking this together in school on Friday 9th October.

Friday will be a NON-UNIFORM DAY, and we are inviting all children and staff to wear something yellow if they can to help us raise awareness of children and young people’s mental health.

We are also inviting donations, if you are able, via our JustGiving Page with all donations going to YoungMinds, a charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. https://www.justgiving.com/page/holy-trinity-6...

Throughout the week, and particularly on Friday, we will be talking to the children in an age-appropriate way about mental health, wellbeing, recognising our feelings and the importance of talking to others when we need support.

We hope that World Mental Health Day also provides an opportunity for conversations at home, helping us to work together to promote positive mental health and reinforce the message that it is always okay to talk about how we are feeling.

We look forward to seeing lots of yellow around school on Friday 9th October as our whole school community comes together to show that mental health matters.
