Uur Year 6 pupils took time to pause, create, and pray together, reflecting on the wisdom of our parish patron, St John Henry Newman.
We thought deeply about his beautiful teaching that “God has created me to do Him some definite service.” Each of us considered our own gifts and talents — how we might use them in the service of others and to shine our lights brightly in the world. Our craft time led to the creation of a constellation of stars, each one representing a talent or gift that can bring light and hope to others.✨
We also reflected on St John Henry Newman’s reminder that “We are all links in a chain,” members of one global family. Together, we prayed for those who may be feeling disconnected or distant from others at this time — that they may feel God’s love and the care of community around them. 💛
We ended our session with prayers of gratitude — for St John Henry Newman’s inspiring example, for our unique gifts, and for one another.
A heartfelt thank you to the grown-ups who joined us for this special experience. We hope you treasure the keepsake you received today, and that it becomes a small reminder of faith, connection, and the light we are all called to share. 🌠
