Family Mass
We shared a wonderful Family Mass yesterday at Holy Trinity Church, beginning with a beautiful May Procession and Crowning of Our Lady, led reverently by our Year 6 pupils. Our May Queen, attendants and cushion bearer carried out their special roles beautifully. Our readers and those who brought forward the offertory gifts also did a wonderful job and represented our school community so proudly. During Mass, we were reminded to try to imitate Mary in our daily lives: saying “

The Solemnity of the Ascension
Please see the image below for the times of Masses across the parish for the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord on Thursday 14th May. This is a Holy Day of Obligation, meaning that Catholics are expected to attend Mass on this special day as we celebrate Jesus’ Ascension into Heaven. We warmly encourage all members of our school community to attend one of the Masses in the parish on this day.

Afternoon at St Thomas More
A wonderful afternoon spent at St Thomas More Catholic School with our Confirmandi, joined by Bishop Timothy, Fr Craig, parish catechists, school staff, and children from across the parish who are also preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. It was a joy to listen to the children speak so eloquently about their faith, sharing the saints they have chosen to inspire them and the reasons behind their choices. Their reflections were thoughtful, personal and full of me

Retreat Day at Holy Trinity Church
What a truly wonderful retreat day we shared yesterday at Holy Trinity Church with our Confirmandi children, alongside other young people from across the parish preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. It was such a special opportunity for the children to pause and reflect deeply on their faith, and on how it will be strengthened through the sacrament they are about to receive next week: both in the joyful moments of life and in the more challenging times. Reflection of the Stations of the Cross
On Tuesday, our KS2 children led a beautiful and poignant reflection of the Stations of the Cross. Together, we journeyed through the final part of Jesus’ life, taking time to pause, reflect and pray. It was a moving experience that helped us to think deeply about His sacrifice and the great love shown to us. This time of reflection reminded us to be truly thankful for all that Jesus has done for us, and all that He continues to do in our lives today.

Eco-Team and Year 6 School Councillors
This week, our Eco-Team and Year 6 School Councillors were wonderful stewards of creation as they took part in a litter pick around our local area. This was our contribution to the Great Big School Clean, part of Keep Britain Tidy’s annual Great British Spring Clean. As always, the children got completely stuck in - even braving wind, rain and hail- to help make our community a cleaner, more beautiful place. Their determination and teamwork were fantastic to see!
